The following 21 articles are the most popular articles of the year 2007 as determined by more than 1400 subscribers to the Amedeo Medical Literature Service. From December 2007 to April 2008, they were selected in a three-step process:

1. The nomination of 1453 articles from hundreds of thousands of articles published in 2007 and listed in PubMed (December/January; see details)

2. The first voting round which promoted 156 articles to the second voting round (February/March; see details)

3. The second voting round in April which selected 21 articles for the final voting round

The final voting round will be from June 9-30, 2008. The winners of the Amedeo Prize 2008 (see the Rules) will be announced on July 4, 2008, 3 p.m. CEST (Central European Summer Time).
